Ilyasu Yaryasa


Hon. Abdullahi Iliyasu Yaryasa was born in Yaryasa Cikin Gari Village of Tudun Wada Local Government Area on 6th February, 1968.

From 1975 to 1981 he attended Yaryasa Primary School before proceeding to Government College Tudun Wada for his junior secondary school.

The young Abdullahi then attended Government Technical College (GTC), Bagauda for his Senior Secondary Education between 1986 to 1989.

Between 1997 to 2000, Honourable Abdullahi attended Federal College of Education, Kano where he obtained an Advance Diploma Certificate. He got his Higher National Diploma (HND) from Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria between 2014 – 2016.

A full time farmer and grassroot politician, Honourable Abdullahi was first elected as a Councilor for Yaryasa ward between 1990 – 1993. In the year 2003 he was appointed Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Executive Chairman of Tudun Wada Local Government Area before being elected a Member of the Kano State House of Assembly in the year 2007 – 2011, 2011 – 2015. He served for eight years and was re-elected again in the year 2015. He is currently serving his third term as a state legislator.
