Hon. Murtala Kore was born in 1961 in Kore, Dambatta Local Government Kano. He attended Kore Primary School from 1970 to 1976 where he obtained Primary School Leaving Certificate. He then proceeded to Government Secondary School Gwaram from 1976 and completed in 1981. He holds National Diploma from School of Management Studies, Kano from 2002 to 2005. Honorable, Kore is a Member of All Progressive Party (APC).  He is a Chairman Monitoring Committee and Deputy Chairman CRC and a Member of various House Standing Committees including, SUBEB, Rural and Community Development, Public Service and Local Government.
