Hon. Lawan Tini Ajingi was born in Ajingi Local Government on 13^th September 1955. He attended Ajingi Primary School from 1962 to 1969 and proceeded to Government Secondary School Rano from 1969 to 1974. Hon. Lawan Tini attended Pivotal Teacher’s College and obtained a Grade II Certificate from 1974 to 1975. He was a chairman Ajingi from 1999 to 2002.

He is a Member of New Nigerian People Party (NNPP) representing Ajingi Local Government. Presently he is the Chairman House Standing Committee on Judiciary and Deputy Chairman Commerce and also member of various House Standing committees including Works and Housing, Project Monitoring, Water Resources. His hobby is politics.
