Hon. Haruna Musa Tahir was born in Hungu, Albasu Local Government on 7^th October, 1966. He attended Zangon Gala Primary School from 1976 to 1982. He proceeded to Government Secondary School Gaya and completed in 1988. Hon. Haruna attended Kano State Polytechnic and obtained Diploma in 1988. He attended Chartered Institute of Administration Lagos and obtained professional Certificate from 1999 to 2002. He is a New Nigerian People Party (NNPP). Presently he is the Chairman House Standing Committee on Water Resources and Deputy Chairman Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and also member of various House Standing committees including SUBEB, Environment, Culture and Tourism
