Honorable Zubairu Hamza Massu was born on 3^rd September 1968 at Massu, Sumaila Local Government area, thus from Kano south senatorial district. Honorable Zubairu is a member of the New Nigerian People Party (NNPP). He contested election as a member of Kano State House of Assembly from Sumaila constituency in 2015 and re-elected in 2019 and 2023. Honorable Zubairu is a holder of PGDM from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi from 2000 to 2001, He is also bagged a Bachalor Degree of Education in Geography from Bayero University Kano from 1985 to 1988. He is also a product of Advanced Teachers College Gumel NCE Physics/Chemistry from 1988 to 1991.

He obtained his SSCE from Senior Secondary School Dawakin Kudu in 1998, while he obtained his junior School Certificate from Wudil Teachers College in 1985. He attended his Primary School in Massu Primary School and Obtained Primary leaving School Certificate in 1982.  Before his election as a member, he was a classroom Teacher for good five (5) years. He was the former Deputy Speaker, in the 9^th Legislature. He is the Chairman of House standing committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and Deputy Chairman Committee on Environment, Security, Emergency Relief, Appropriation and SUBEB. Honorable Massu’s hobbies include, travelling and as now he visited about ten (10) Countries both African and European.
