Hon. Ibrahim Salisu Muhammad (Committee Chairman on Rural and Committee Development)

Hon. Ibrahim Salisu Muhammad was born in 1964, in Riruwai Doguwa Local Government Area of Kano State. He attended Riruwai Primary School where he obtained his primary school leaving certificate in 1975. Honourable Salisu Ibrahim proceeded to Government Secondary School, Kazaure for his Secondary School Certificate and completed in 1982 His interest in reading since his Primary School days gave him the opportunity to read English with specialization in linguistics from University of Maiduguri from 1985-1989).

After his National Service, Honourable Salisu was employed by the Triumph Publishing Company Limited as a Senior Reporter. He served as a Commercial Services Controller.

As a hardworking journalist he joined the services of Daily Trust Newspaper as Pioneer Group Advert Manager between 2000-2006. Before his involvement in politics, Honorable Salisu set up a private Advertising Company in Abuja called The Print Communication in 2006. His experience, management skills and vision set him out as a politician determined to improve the status and development of his people. He is a Director of People Daily Newspaper and Founder of the Print Communication (Advertising Consultant).

His people called on him to join politics. He clinched the seat of the State Assembly in 2011 with a very wide margin Honourable Salisu Ibrahim is now serving his third term as a Member Kano State House of Assembly. He was the Chairman of Public Account Committee in the 9th Legislature and served in the various committees in the 8th and the 9th Legislature including, Finance, Public Petition, Agriculture and SUBEB. He is currently a Chairman of Rural and Community Development and Deputy Chairman Public Account, and Member in Environment and Emergency Committees.

Hon. Salisu Ibrahim Muhammad has travelled wide and far including France, Spain, Germany, Saudi Arabia Ghana, etc. his Hobies are travelling and meeting people
