Hon. Lawan Hussaini Dala was born on 13^th March 1962 in Dala Local Government at Chediyar Yan Gurasa, Kano. He attended Gwammaja Primary School from 1971 to 1978. He also attended Kano Teachers College from 1980 to 1983. He holds Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Public Administration from Kano State Polytechnic from 1989 to 1996. Hon. Lawan Hussaini Dala, also attended Bayero University, Kano and obtained Advance Diploma in Public Administration from 1995 to 1996. He is a Member of New Nigerian People Party (NNPP) and the Majority Leader of this Tenth Legislature. He is Member of various House Standing and Special Committees including Inter-parliamentary, Rules and Business, Selection, Appropriation, Hajj, Higher Education, Youth and Sports, Public Petition, Guidance and Counseling.
