2018 Proposed Budget Presentation

His Excellency Dr Abdullahi Ganduje OFR on Thursday 30th November, 2017 presented the 2018 Budget Proposal of 233 Billion Naira to the State House of Assembly.

Governor Ganduje started by thanking the Almighty Allah for making Nigeria to be out of the recession, under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and  also took time to enumerate the projects executed in the year 2017 Budget.

Governor Ganduje proposed the estimate Budget of N233.8, to the House of Assembly for their approval, he stated that N151.9 Billion as capital expenditure (which has the difference of N13 Billion compared to 2017 Budget), while N81.9 Billion as recurrent expenditure (also has the difference of N3 Billion compared to 2017 Budget). The sum of N147.6 Billion is expected to be the recurrent revenue while N53.7 Billion is expected as Internally Generated Revenue.

The Ministry of Works and Housing get the highest sum of 40 Billion Naira followed Ministry for Water Resources with the sum 35 Billion Naira then Ministry of Education with sum of 21 Billion Naira, others include Ministry of Agriculture with the sum of 10 Billion Naira, Ministry of Health with the sum of 9 Billion Naira, Civil Servants capacity building 4.4 Billion Naira, Ministry of Environment with sum of 3 Billion Naira, Judiciary with sum of N1.9 Billion Naira, Special Duties with the sum of 1.5 Billion Naira, Ministry of Information with the sum of 1.4 Billion Naira,  Ministry of Women Affairs & Social Development with the sum of 1.1 Billion Naira, Ministry of Commerce with the sum of 965 Million Naira  . security sector with the sum of 200 Million Naira, among other.

Governor Ganduje ended by thanking the members of Kano State House Assembly for their support to the success of his administration.
