Hon. Ayuba Labaran Durum was on (16th June, 1977) in Durum village, Kabo Local Government Area of Kano State. He attended Durun Primary School from 1985 to 1991. After that his parents enrolled him in a Qur’anic School where he memorized the Holy Book from  1993 to 1996 he did his Junior Secondary Education in Kabo and his Senior Secondary Education in Karaye Local Government from 1996 to 2000. In his quest for further education, Honourable Ayuba went back to his Qura’nic School from 2004 to2006, he served as a councilor. As a reward for his contribution to the development of his community, his people called on him to context for the post of a legislator in the State in the year 2011. He did and was elected into the State House of Assembly. After a satisfactory performance he was again given the mandate in 2015, 2019 and 2023 respectively. He was Chief Whip in the 9^th Legislature and currently serving his third term as a Minority Whip. Hon.
